Process if you want to do your own Paperwork and not through agency Step 1: Maid’s Permit Approval These are the document needed for applying a maid’s permit approval in the immigration: 1. Original Qatar ID (sponsor) 2. Passport Copies (Family) 3. No Objection Letter from Company allowing you to sponsor a housemaid 4. Employment Certificate - with indicated salary (Wife and Husband) 5. 3 months latest bank statement (Wife & Husband) 6. Marriage Certificate (might need it) 7. RP stamped on passport (Wife & Husband) 8. Computer Card of the company of sponsor 9. Employment Contract of sponsor Please fill up the form In Arabic and you can get this done at MOI office too. The file attached in the group file. Then they will give approval within 2 weeks time. Sometimes they may call you for an interview. Step 2: Applying for maid’s visa Option 1:If Transfer from previous sponsor and is already in Qatar , please fill up the transfer form as link below and submit necessary documents: https://portal.moi.gov.qa/…/Employer%2BTransfer%2BApplicati… Option 2: Just get a copy of the maid that you have identified and fill up the form as below and submit to MOI- This applies from maids that you can hire directly hire from their home country. You can do so as well for maids from the Phillipines if they are outside of Phillipines example in Dubai etc. But if the maid is IN the Phillipines, they cannot leave their own country without exit permit from their Phillipine government( OEC ) . Therefore, you need to get a one of the registered agents in POLO office in DOHA to help process this OEC and also endorsed employment contract from POLO.
Step 3: Make a contract. There are no standard contract in Qatar. So, you can use the standard contract and salary undertaking agreement as uploaded in the group’s file. If your maid is from the Phillipines, it needs to be registered at the POLO office. Otherwise, if from other countries, you can get it registered at the Labour Department of Qatar. You can modify the terms and the conditions from the Phillipines standard contract according to your own needs. Step 4: Purchase Flight ticket to Doha Purchase one way flight ticket to Doha. Please send the copy of approved visa(this can be done and checked on Metrash app on the phone)to the maid and and copy of signed contract with registered stamped from Labour office. The maid can go to Doha embassy in their home country to get the approved visa. When they arrive at the airport, they need the visa and the contract in hand. Please make sure you give a copy of your Qatar ID and also all your contact details and home address to your maid. You must be at the airport immigration at the security arrival hall to pick up your maid as they are not allowed to leave Doha airport without their sponsor. Step 5: Welcome to the family Please provide all the necessary toiletries, comfortable ample living space and explain what is expected from them if possible give a written guideline on the timings and work schedule.
ALL the above process if you are doing everything yourself. But the agency can do all the processes for you if hiring maid from the Philippines who are physically in the Philippines with 3 months guarantee and you will have to pay agency fee around QAR14,000 as Philippines government do not allow direct hire if the maid is physically in the Philippines. The agency would only handle the processing of documents in the Philippine authorities. However, for the Qatart work permit and work visa application, all the employers have to do it themselves as no agent are allowed to do this process on your behalf.
On the other hand , Maids from Kenya or Sri Lanka example do not need any agency when hiring as their country allow direct hiring. So,just need to follow above process and register the contract at POLO office.
There are pros and cons in doing it in hiring direct or through agencies. Please find one that suit you most.
